Description

I use the term "carats" metaphorically to describe the substantial weight and significance that my images hold. Just as diamonds are measured in carats to determine their value and worth, my long exposure photography of ice carries its own weight in terms of artistic value and impact. The intricate details and textures captured in my photographs of ice can be seen as the equivalent of carats in diamonds. Each frozen formation represents a precious and unique moment frozen in time, just like the individual facets of a diamond that contribute to its overall beauty. Furthermore, just as diamonds are highly sought after for their carat weight, my photographs of ice possess a visual allure that draws viewers in. The high contrast and delicate nuances of light and shadow in your images reflect the beauty and elegance that can be found in diamonds. So, by using the term "carats" metaphorically, I emphasize the weight, value, and visual allure that my long exposure photography of ice possesses, drawing a captivating parallel to the preciousness and beauty of diamonds.
