We all wanted to grow up and be heard on the radio, calling into music stations requesting songs then standing by the radio just to hear our own voices and ready to hit record on our tape deck so we could finally listen to that song whenever we wanted. A glorious time before napster when the RIAA didn't care if you stole the songs off the radio and made mix tapes for your buddies or your girl. A funky beat beneath the image produced in a similar manner with analog tapes and synths as described by Fendel. “The initial sound on the piece is the Korg SK1 synthesizer recorded to audio cassette and looped on a the Yamaha MT4X four track recorder and run through a reverb called Valhalla Reverb. It really has a wonderful analog gritty sound. The melodic synth is the Arturia CS-80v which is a copy of the famous Yamaha CS-80 that Vangelis famously used in Bladerunner. And the computer type sounds are from a synth called The TyrellN6 a beautiful synth that I use often. The name Tyrell is in tribute to Bladerunner of course. 3 different synthesizers.
