This collection parodies well known memes, creators and personalities of the Crypto/NFT Art space. It riffs off retro cartoon references of the 1970s-1980s; Topps trading cards like Garbage Pail Kids and Weird Wheels, satirical Art of publications like MAD, Beano and Whizzer & Chips. This one is based on Sarah Zucker aka The Sarah Show; an American writer, designer, animator and Artist. She is considered an OG in the Crypto/NFT Art space and the gifs she’s created have been viewed billions of times. Sarah’s work takes a great deal of inspiration from redundant digital forms. Reminiscent of wobbly and worn VHS footage her boldly drawn works are both psychadelic and childlike; they flicker with neon colour and take us back to rec rooms and play dates of days long past. Yet in dichotomy, the work is presented in the most modern way using the latest technologies of the blockchain.
