Description

An indirect homage to the constructivist works of El Lissitzky. Between 1919 and 1927 El Lissitzky produced a body of paintings that he referred to by the word Proun - an acronym for 'project for the affirmation of the new'. Lissitzky's radical reordering of geometrical space is a metaphor for – and visualization of – the fundamental transformations that were occurring in society at the time. His works, which deconceptualized geometrical space, were direct precursors to the generative art movements that were yet to come. Created with Cables.gl in Sept 2022
