Description

I was lucky enough to find a bunch of old 16mm films in a skip, this one is rare footage shot in July 1970 outside the Nashville branch of KFC. Here we have Elvis and his manager Colonel Sanders posing for photos to promote a new line called Royal Drummers. This line caused some controversy because the Royal Drummer was too big to be made from chicken so questions were asked about exactly what the meat was - no definitive answer was ever found, with Elvis and Sanders sticking to the story the drummers came from specially bred extra large chickens.
