She is renowned for the pivotal role she played in the religious revolution promoted by her husband, which introduced the monotheistic worship of the sun disk god Aten. Alongside Akhenaten, Nefertiti supported political, artistic, and religious reforms that broke with earlier Egyptian traditions.
