Description
I have waited a while to talk about this, mostly due to thinking about how to make it impactful and meaningful…. And weird.
Trash Art either makes a million statements all at once, or, one big statement that could be taken a million different ways. This one is both, or maybe just straight trash, just depends on your perspective.
Texadelic and a few other artists sent me Art the entire time I was gone, and therefore had me in mind, when I was sitting out on the edge of the universe on planet…whatever. I can’t not consider things like that, is the point.
It’s clear to me, in many ways, you’re all fully committed to this community. So, now I am, too. Not only with raids, but with my art.
The Tezos art community is full of interesting and talented artists - Innovators and pioneers. These NFT versions of a physical piece based on an NFT are only the first of Grendel’s “backward-thinking” tributes to their modernized styles and themes, working with physical or mixed mediums. There are many more to come, in many other styles.
This piece was made using recycled and recyclable paper, a bunch of kids art supplies that barely work I found around the house, a razor, glue, scissors, a printer, some quick sketches my kids and I did, and some other stuff including a pizza box, yearbooks, and my busted, slowly-dying iPhone.
It’s also a rework of Shilly Preston’s cc0 piece, “Dumspter Fire”, which I received from Texadelic, as a Back Stage Passenger gift a long time ago, along with many others!
The final physical piece will be framed in a custom papercut pizza box, and a 1/1 NFT will be sent to Shilly Preston of the framed piece. Shilly can also burn the unframed gift piece to get the original physical piece for free, if interested.
No royalties on gift or OE versions of pieces, and the OE sale will be split, to support the artists who inspired the piece, and as a thank you for the awesome gifts, your time, and the art you all create!
