Description

In this work, the contrast between the human body and architecture is the starting point of the narrative. The body, with its organic, living, and vulnerable form, stands against a multitude of geometric, rigid, and repetitive buildings. The human figure is not standing upright; it is bent beneath a pressure that is felt before it is even seen. For me, this work is not simply about buildings or ownership, but about the unequal relationship between the individual and the city. A city that grows every day, while the human being becomes smaller and more exhausted beneath its weight. These buildings are carried on the shoulders of someone who may never own even a small part of them. A person who carries the burden of development, yet receives no share of it. I deliberately depicted the body naked because I wanted there to be no barrier between the human being and this pressure. Nudity here does not simply represent vulnerability; it represents experiencing this weight directly through flesh, skin, and bone. A place where the weight of the city falls upon the human being before it ever reaches the shoulders.
