Description

100% to Wings of Hope David is a resident at Wings of Hope in Haiti. Wings of Hope is a home for children and adults with physical and mental challenges. David is largely non-verbal, but very communicative. He has physical disabilities and uses a wheelchair to move around. He loves joking around and being in the center of the action. Art has always been an essential way to show the residents the beauty of their country. And encouraging the residents to become artists themselves is a way to foster self-confidence in them. One of the art classes at Wings of Hope is a photography class. By learning to use a camera and exploring their world, the young photographers give an insight on life through their eyes. Seeing beauty in your culture and being able to add to that beauty with your talent and passion are important lessons learned by those served by Wings of Hope.
