Entangled Bodies

Creator

Description

This piece is created using a mixed technique of line drawing and watercolor/digital staining, depicting human bodies curled inward in repetitive, timeless forms. The limited color palette—dominated by shades of red and beige—evokes flesh, skin, and deep inner emotion, as if the bodies are suspended in a space between presence and absence. The style can be described as a fusion of figurative expressionism and abstraction, where the human form is not rendered for realism, but as a vessel for psychological states, existential stillness, or silent suffering. The repetition and overlapping of figures convey a sense of collective yet solitary humanity—as if each body, while part of a crowd, remains enclosed in its own inward world.
