The TAPESTRY is a gift for the collectors of all three pieces of the triptych Say A Prayer;The Vision, The Venerables, Cave Of The Souls -(who collected in the first 2 days of release) This piece is a digital collage of analogue photographs of water reflections that the artist collected at Lake Zurich circa. The piece was originally created in March 2012 - minted on Objkt.com August 2022 A journey that started from a repeated obsessive return visits to one particular spot on Lake Zurich - an alcove with a tall willow tree towering over the little niche. Clear water reflecting the heavens above.  Water stood still some times when the wind allowed it, when there were no boats moored nearby.  Spring after Spring, it became a seasonal spot that I liked to revisit to retrace my steps. Even when I moved away, I returned. From foreign lands, just to get a glimpse of what captivated me in the minute spaces of water in that location. The alchemy of water not only changed across-countries, it changed across seasons in the same little alcove that contained this richest of visual vistas for me. This was a reminder somehow of something familiar when everything else changed so much so fast. However, the reflections in that spot changed too. You blinked and could never see what you just saw before. Nature’s algorithms in water never repeat.  Over the years my art practice evolved into seeing beyond the photograph. Using photography as a medium and collage as a tool of transformation, I began creating scenarios through which stories could emerge according to the viewer’s individual visual language.  For instance, what seemed like the reflection of the tree in water took appearance of bones, bones gave way to ancient silhouettes postured postulated in prayer in caves- that is what I saw.   I created the final vista to honour and complete that narrative with skills I picked up over the years.
