Strata is all about rock layering. The project released on Art Blocks on March 11th 2022.
The generative algorithm explores the endless ways sedimatary rocks can form. These two complete each other well.
Strata consists of a lot of extremes. Sometimes the space in between are represented by Strata, but not always. This is true for the two views "Cross section" and "Mountainside".
Some are simple while others are more complex. From three layers to thousands of layers.
Symmetric pieces can also occur. Or at least close enough.
Strata can also produce vivid results. These are magnificent.
Strata is inspired by the physical world. Lava and magma are therefore natural choices of inspiration.
It can also produce more playful outputs. Below are pieces with the Kayenta palette.
