Upon conceptualizing the theme and message, DeltaSauce explored various directions, incorporating early MJ/SD technology. This stage involved breaking both to achieve the desired outputs, highlighting the progression of technology and an evolving proficiency in using tools. While the models advanced, reaching the envisioned outcome became more accessible but not without challenges. Embracing novelty required adapting to new learning curves, with old processes proving less effective. A critical midway review led DeltaSauce to discard 300 pieces out of the initial 500, recognizing a misalignment with personal artistic standards. This provided an opportunity to start anew, armed with a deeper understanding of the artistic intent. Learning more about the creative direction motivated DeltaSauce to extend further, prompting touch-ups on the majority of the collection. Coming from a background in sculpting/woodworking, DeltaSauce prefers a hands-on approach to creations.
DeltaSauce drew inspiration from childhood films, fellow artists in the space, and various sources. Television, serving as escapism during a time when family was seldom present, transported DeltaSauce to a world filled with unnatural adventures and daring sci-fi narratives. The theme of AI, representing a sandbox of ideas waiting to be explored, became a central focus in this collection. DeltaSauce expressed gratitude for the collection's prolonged development, providing opportunities to play within this realm while simultaneously learning and creating.
