Quase
"Quase" is an art piece that combines the abstract with human imagination to create shapes that "almost resemble something." The processing power of the machine, combined with human creativity, is capable of giving context to the abstract figures that emerge. The artwork is the result of the machine's information processing capabilities combined with our ability to imagine what is not.
To simulate particle movements, "Quase" employs a physics engine that calculates trajectories. Velocity and acceleration vectors act on the position of the particles. Additionally, 21 palettes and a color distribution system work together to achieve a harmonious balance. The "Grid" trait shapes the structure of the figure, while the "Anomalia" trait determines whether particles will have subtle variations in stroke color. Moreover, the "Background Pattern" enhances the visual experience by providing a thematic backdrop. By incorporating these characteristics, "Quase" achieves a meticulous balance, creating an artwork that stimulates the senses and explores the relationship between humans and machines.
'Quase' blurs the line between human and machine in a mesmerizing code-based art piece. Using particles, the code transforms simple shapes into intricate, almost 'organic' forms. The result is a dynamic artwork that sparks contemplation on the harmonious collaboration between human creativity and the machine's execution. It highlights the similarities between humans and machines-both capable of choices, adaptation, and information processing, though in different ways.
The abstract nature of 'Quase' invites subjective interpretation, allowing viewers to engage with the artwork on a personal level.

The Maze
Jcode
This generative art project depicts this journey through "The Maze" utilising Cubism style. In Cubism, artists such as Picasso or Braque, would paint objects or scenes from multiple perspectives, breaking them up and reassebling them in a flat canvas with a greater context. in this case, "The Maze" is represented with up to 4 different perspectives creating a sense of abstraction and evoking the same feeling of distress we all feel when trapped inside a maze.
