There is a certain magic to midnight, that conventional border that separates our days. It is a mascot of transformation, but, ironically, happens when most of the world is settled, sleeping, and unaware of their continued travel past the mileposts of time.

Daybreak is that instant when the first fingers of light touch the landscape and gently nudge everything from dreaming to the new day. Can we ever know what the flowers dream about?
The perfect time of day for photography, right before twilight, when the sun is low in the late-afternoon sky, the shadows are long and everything takes on a warm, comforting glow, is given the name "The Golden Hour".
When the sun is still high overhead, just before the heat of the day reaches its peak, the best place to be is in the shade of a forest canopy sitting near a floral thicket and enjoying the birdsong carried by a gentle breeze.
In the first few moments after the sun peeks above the horizon when the sky is a shade of platinum and everything seems to be yawning and shaking off the shackles of sleep, there is a chance to take a deep breath and ground oneself before the activities of the day begin.
While the afterglow of the sun's radiance still paints the low sky for half an hour after the orb has dipped below the horizon, the world seems a bit enchanted: fireflies appear and dance like fairies on flower stages and we are entranced by the magical scene.
What makes a morning "good"? Is it looking out the window to see a beautiful day? That first cup of coffee? The chance to organize your thoughts before having to deal with the day's task list? Or the salutations we have returned from our friends and acquaintances that confirm our existence and presence in the world?
