One evening I embarked on a few hours of generating image after image to see what might apppear. It’s addictive when you are deep in the generative art process. This image jumped out and grabbed my attention right away. 

In the central figure, two tall diamonds in the green background color create an illusion of long arms. The three strange figures comprise some otherworldly holy trinity, hence the title of the piece. It felt like a found image from a lost civilization.

I almost blew past this image during another generate-and-test marathon. Luckily my son was watching and he saw it first. "Look", he said, "The fat lady's singing!"

The title stuck. 

This was one of the first tests of the All Star palette, which was used in the Eccentrics project. The colors were sampled from an old issue of All Star Comics #58. 

This was a popular image when I showed it in the livestream and on Twitter.

The Eccentrics algorithm started by layering shapes inside each other. This is one of the first mints after recursive splits were added, resulting in the 3 "towers". 

At this early stage the colors were random RGB and often garish, but they turned out well in this image.

Shadow Exposures

The ‘Exposures’ series shows people navigating wild and vibrant abstract worlds, yet somehow trapped and distracted. Each scene is inhabited by transparent characters posed, exposed, and juxtaposed. The scenes are created with on-chain code -- no AI -- stretching the boundaries of what can be done with code-based generative art. 

The artworks are rendered as paintings of a sort, snapshots of modern or classical figures reacting to each other and their surroundings. The attitudes of the characters' limbs or torsos often match the angles around them as they try to blend in.
