Old pond A frog jumps in – The sound of water (Matsuo Basho)
The first cold shower Even the monkey seems to want A little coat of straw (Basho)
On a leafless branch A crow comes to rest – Autumn nightfall (Basho)
I write, erase, rewrite, Erase again, and then A poppy blooms (Hokushi)
The snow of yesterday That fell like cherry blossoms Is water once again (Gozan)
What is it but a dream? The blooming as well Lasts only seven cycles (Hakuen)
Along this road Goes no one, This autumn eve (Basho)
