The International Collection

I aim to be known for but one thing: collecting the best digital art made by international artists. I will include the occasional US-based artists, because there are so many that are magical and impressive, but I want to highlight a uniquely global perspective by collecting rare art. Each of these pieces listed below is in my collection.

Three Days Of Summer

Three Days Of Summer

The front door in our International Collection opens with this piece from Michaël Zancan, a French oil painter-turned-digital artist whose mastery of the pen plotter evokes wonders with his mysterious flowery landscapes. Three Days of Summer was minted from Valencia, Spain at the 2022 NFTShow Europe, and invitees were given physical copies of portions of the art as well.

The blocky representations of the white plants are a stark contrast to the less prominent, more delicate garden pieces; the combination adds to the mystique, the allure, the peacefulness of this piece.

Chromie Squiggle #702

Chromie Squiggle #702 by snowfro

Any NFT collection would feel somewhat incomplete without a chromie squiggle. This one brings sufficient intrigue to the collector for its remarkably uniform construction and lively distribution of color. Importantly, the tails descend gradually and without interruption; #702 represents to the collector a sort of symbol of life, where the early years are chaotic and exciting but limited, and with college and early career days full of growth, and as life proceeds, the gradual descending into a calmer, more composed and thoughtful self.

Gazers #10

A Celebration of Gazers

Among the most iconic generative art NFT collections is Gazers, a truly dynamic piece of art with layers of hidden and undiscovered gems by artist Matt Kane. In fact, Gazers have at least 30 distinct traits, among them, size, color, background, origin moon. A fantastic collectors guide can be found here, written by @0xVirtau.

First minted in December of 2021, I am the second owner of #10, which tells you a bit about how people love to hold on to these.

#10 is arguably not especially rare, but it has a few notable rare traits. First, it has a celebration window of 72 hours. This means that unlike most other moons, this one enters its celebration mode for 36 hours prior to, as well as 36 hours after, December 4, its origin moon date. The dates mark important milestones in the artists life, and while December 4 is most common, the collector imagines this later date to be most relatable -- the purchase of the art connects the artists to the collector.

Secondly, this is a hexagonal moon. Out of the 1000 Gazers in circulation, only 146 have this shape.
