“Proofs of Work” is a set of analog prints made by the artist between 1992 and 2012 and transformed into financial instruments in 2021. The images were scanned in high resolution and minted as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), establishing a digital derivative existence. For each tokenized item sold, 10% of the amount is reserved for the Acerola Fund, intended for the purchase of NFTs created by other artists.

Additionally, a total of up to 3 large format copies (non-tokenized) can be sold through the legacy galleries that represent the artist, with 10% of the value of each of these future sales being reserved for the Ethereum wallet address of the collection where the token that generated the copies is stored.

The collections must contact the artist to arrange for physical mailing, as well as the PGP signed file. The unsigned file is available for free download and use under the Peer Production License (PPL).

*Returnable* series sets an economic experiment by associating one third of the sale price of 12 works with an ERC-721 non-fungible token minted by the artist on the Ethereum mainnet. 

At the time of acquisition of the work, the NFT is purchased on the opensea.io decentralized marketplace, and the value is swapped and allocated in a capitalization process under a co-ownership regime that aims, in the long term, to return the full invested value to the wallets listed in the collages. The token serves as a store of value  and also as a proof of the physical and digital existence of the work.

The three first states can match other “Interior” layers to form an entire image. The fourth state hides the layer, revealing the background.

"Interior #2"

“Untitled #3” is part of the series of 3D stereographic photo collages “Slits in Depth”, by Pedro Victor Brandão, that since 2020 is being minted on async.art as dynamic compositions that alternate interior and exterior spaces in impossible perspectives, leveraged by the programmable features of the platform.

Created in the third pandemic year, this work was commissioned by Pivô for the exhibition "Guided tour", curated by the curatorial platform aarea (founded by Livia Benedetti and Marcela Vieira). "Guided tour'' is the edition #4 of Pivô Satélite program. In addition to Pedro Victor Brandão, artists Gabriel Junqueira, Júlia Rocha and Gabriel Massan also participate in the project. The artists were invited to create correspondences between Pivô's digital space and its exhibition space in the Copan Building, located in São Paulo.

The composition “Untitled #3” is made up of a frontal element together with two other images: an Adiantum twig photographed in front of a mirror; and two backgrounds: a cloudy sky and an interior environment of one of Pivô's galleries. During the 24 hours of the day, one background is gradually replaced by another. When viewed with red and cyan anaglyph glasses (red lens on the left eye), elements pop off the screen.

During the exhibition period of the work on Pivô's website (March 23rd to April 24th, 2022), visitors can sign a document with their non-custodial wallet to enter the giveaway of the work.

“Sem Título #3” faz parte da série de fotocolagens estereográficas 3D “Cortes em Profundidade", de Pedro Victor Brandão, que desde 2020 tem sido emitida no async.art como composições dinâmicas que alternam espaços interiores e exteriores em perspectivas impossíveis a partir das funcionalidades programáveis da plataforma. 

Criado já no terceiro ano pandêmico, este trabalho foi comissionado pelo Pivô para a exposição "Visita guiada", curada pela plataforma curatorial aarea (fundada por Livia Benedetti e Marcela Vieira). "Visita guiada" é a edição #4 do programa Pivô Satélite. Além de Pedro Victor Brandão, participam também do projeto xs artistas Gabriel Junqueira, Júlia Rocha e Gabriel Massan. Xs artistas foram convidadxs a criar correspondências entre o espaço digital do Pivô e seu espaço expositivo no Edifício Copan, localizado em São Paulo. 

A composição de “Sem Título #3” é feita de um elemento frontal junto a duas outras imagens: um galho de avenca fotografado em frente a um espelho; e dois fundos: um céu nebuloso e um ambiente interno de uma das galerias do Pivô. Durante as 24 horas do dia, um fundo é gradualmente substituído por outro. Quando vistos com um óculos anáglifo vermelho e ciano (lente vermelha no olho esquerdo), os elementos saltam da tela. 

Durante o período de exibição do trabalho no website do Pivô (23 de março a 24 de abril de 2022), visitantes podem assinar um documento com sua carteira não-custodial para concorrer ao sorteio do trabalho.

Untitled #10

*View to nothingness* is a series created between 2008 and 2012, bringing together 36 chemical paintings made on instant photographic films. The creation process of each one of them takes into account the randomness in the generation of camera-less images, where the artist only controls the beginning and the end of the chemical reaction of an alkaline developing liquid with the two bases that make up this type of material, among other variables of the medium itself such as time, light incidence, ambient temperature, and atmospheric pressure. The NFTs minted in 2023 function as permanent records of the high-resolution files and control of copies. The originals are pegged to the tokens at first sale, and token ownership grants discounts on the purchase of signed large-format prints. *Cloud, Continent, Island* is a series created with a script run on raw image files to extract sequential frames with a high-contrast curve. Initially made as prints in 2010, these works can be seen as landscape studies that expand the boundaries of the photographic medium, from sky to earth without passing through a horizon line. Compositions #3 to #7 used the script outputs as 4K short films, and are part of [More Abstract](https://moreabstract.xyz), a solo show presented at [Portas Vilaseca](https://portasvilaseca.com.br).

Faucet #1

*Faucet* is an interactive sculpture created in 2023, part of the ongoing series *Prepared screen* (2012-), through which cellulose elements are placed on top of a television that emits white light. Polarizing filters are made available so that visitors can interact with these materials in a demonstration of cross-polarization, an optical phenomenon that occurs when the direction of the light's electric field changes when interacting with certain surfaces. *Faucet* is part of [More Abstract](https://moreabstract.xyz), presented at [Portas Vilaseca](https://portasvilaseca.com.br). Whenever a *Faucet* is on view, photographic records are made documenting the public's interaction with the work, which are then minted as semi-fungible tokens in the ERC-1155 standard that can be collected for free.

The *Suggestions* set from *Detremura* series was commissioned for the exhibition *Non-Fungible Castle 2022: Preserving Culture On The Blockchain*, curated by Jake Al-Haffar at the Lobkowicz Palace in Prague, Czech Republic, from October 27 to November 13, 2022.

The set features nine 10-minute videos showing the never-ending content recommendation feed from Instagram’s “search” tab across cities located in different macro-regions of the world. For each one of the cities the artist created a blank account and made screencaptures while accessing the platform with geo-spoofed locations and IP redirects. Each film is minted as an NFT, and during the exhibition, viewers see all of them side-by-side in a single track.

From nothing to pre-existing (2006-2008)

Decentralized Autonomous Acerola [1st ed.] exists as an animated GIF minted in an edition of 100 non-fungible tokens. Its unitary price is zero, and anyone can claim their own through a form during the virtual group show “Notas sobre alguma disfuncionalidade”, curated by Guilherme Teixeira for https://homeostasislab.org. The minting contract establishes that if there are secondary sales after the initial distribution, 10% of the resale value is forwarded to ENS acerola.eth, destined to the Acerola Fund. The Acerola Fund was created in January 2021 by Pedro Victor Brandão as a distributed governance and indirect coordination experiment focused on the acquisition of NFT’s created by artists from the global south.
