I HAVE A M.SC IN ARCHITECTURE i am a Freelancer/Visual Artist/Computational Designer
CUBE is the oldest archetype. In geometry, THE TESSERACT is the four-dimensional analogue of the cube. In my opinion, the fourth dimension might be free from the burden of the physical world, it might be part of the fabric of time or it might be the soul of an artist trapped in the art... I am in search of the 4th dimension.

Return to The Desert
Surveilled is an abandoned, burned out and boarded up cook house I passed driving through Morongo in the Yucca Valley on a hot summer solo road trip July 2013. As the miles stretched out behind me a knot in my stomach began to churn. I knew I had to turn back and photograph it.
The strangest sensation hits me in the presence of such objects. An overwhelming vibration akin to fear of death, but also an awe in its destroyed beauty. There is an exhilaration inside me to overcome my fear of the unknown and to enter where I know I do not belong. The feeling is always that I am the one under surveillance.

I spotted this Burnt Yucca tree from the highway and circled around to see if I could find a road off the exit with access close enough to walk to it without losing sight of my vehicle and hidden enough so the car wouldn’t be seen in the photo. This is how I find most of my subjects when I adventure out into the world to make new work.
I got lucky during this trip with so many amazing views and perfect mid-summer storm weather to cut the heat and give the skies what I needed to create dynamic images. The only thing missing in this scene for me was the vehicle that burned in this spot, but I’m glad they left the tire.

Inspired by 90s ROM cartridges, server farms and future cityscapes this project explores perception and documentation of ‘order’ within complex systems.
The above triptych is a favorite pairing of the collection. Soon after mint Nbswwit shared #144 and #46 as a diptych. While creating this gallery I took the liberty of adding #81 to the mix. ( From left to right #144 - DocSciFi - #46 - Jwphase - #81 -Rn9ce )
