"From nothing to pre-existing" is a series by Pedro Victor Brandão depicting different stages of chemical paintings created without planning with expired instant films.The works were created in between 2006 and 2008, and minting them dynamically in 2023 is a way to create a permanent record of all the 104 files that form the 6 compositions. The description of the works contain IPFS links to full-screen viewing, and also to downloading the full resolution files ready to print.

While the tokens are unique, acting as a digital proof of the series, the metadata contained by them also works as a record of available physical prints from an edition of 5 though occasional updates. Token owners are granted with negotiable discounts on the purchase of physical editions, a courtesy of Portas Vilaseca Galeria (Rio de Janeiro).
