In 2024, we witnessed a decline in both the cryptocurrency and tokenized digital art markets. In light of this, Ledger opted for a different strategy, focusing on co-creation and direct commissions with artists, rather than acquisitions through marketplaces. This approach allowed us to actively support artistic creation and forge close ties with artists.
With this in mind, we are proud to have launched two major programs: "Art on Ledger Stax" and the evergreen "Artist Spotlight" program specifically designed for our Community Pass holders. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to providing our community with a unique and privileged artistic experience.

Travelling across Meridians
With Matt DesLauriers' Meridian project on Art Blocks
"Today is one of those excellent January partly cloudies in which light chooses an unexpected part of the landscape to trick out in gilt, and then shadow sweeps it away. You know you’re alive. You take huge steps trying to feel the planet's roundness arc between your feet."
Sabotage (Kim Asendorf, 2022)

I have been using AI for the past two years, and the speed of evolution of this technology is amazing! i would like to thank all the people and artists involved in the development of AI.
I am sure there have been and will be many discussions about AI, but here are some of my thoughts.
This tool can make your words a little more expressive and create images with just one click! It's very simple, but very deep. I think of it as like taking a picture in the imaginary world of your mind. The more the computer calculates, the more the image creation continues indefinitely. It is up to you to decide which moments to capture. It's like pressing the shutter of a camera. The moment is then processed in a variety of ways to create a work of art. The development and printing of a photograph is a very important process.
Whose landscape is it?

Annie Dillard, “On Foot in Virginia’s Roanoke Valley,” in The Abundance: Narrative Essays Old and New (2016)
▲ The tones and hues of Meridian #493 are reminiscent of the golden rays of sunset, bathing the contours of a mountain range. Looking at this piece, I am transported back to a delightful trek to Mount Roraima in Venezuela, which I embarked on in December 2015.

Fold
Fold is a series of 400 unique outputs that explore the diverse concepts of folding, merging them into an abstract, generative long-form work. From the natural undulations of sediment in the earth's crust to the human act of origami, folds wield significant structural and organizational power. Yet, they can also dramatically distort and redefine the shape and direction of the structures they form on the canvas.
Fold is a long-form generative series written in Javascript without any additional libraries and stored on the ethereum blockchain.

This blue sky, a small flower blooming on the side of the road, ruins from long ago, or a huge skyscraper. The moment you have captured with your sensitivity is your work. (except for some parts). But the copyright issue of AI data may have to be discussed further in the future. Ah! Wait a minute, isn't CH , no copyrighted in the place? Yes, much of this issue depends on the morals of individual artists, doesn't it? OPEN AI has restrictions on multiple words. But wait a minute! I love Miffy the rabbit, so I put Dick Bruna's name in there and he got mad at me. LOL Oh that's not the wrong DICK, it's an AI and I hope you learn more about it.
Here's something revolutionary for me recently. That is that I can now assign prompts to brushes. Simply, the area you write with the brush becomes a selection for drawing, which is very useful when retouching.
And then came DALLE2! A singularity has already occurred in my mind. The quality of the image has improved, as well as the ability to interpolate space. It has revolutionized my collage technique. I am very happy. But I like the old ones more avant-garde.
I am going back and forth between multiple programs to create a single piece of work.
Unlimited Imagination
The time has come to use AI on cell phones to create images with ease, just like taking a picture with an iphone. What a wonderful time we live in! I am sure that IG filters, PS brushes, etc. will soon be equipped with AI!
Back in the day, when electronic drums called rhythm boxes were introduced, drummers feared they would lose their jobs, but that didn't happen. Those who think the same thing will happen now need not worry.
You take a picture, put a film in it, develop it, and burn it. To paint a picture, you melt paint and apply it to the canvas with a brush. Nowadays, digital technology has simplified all of this.
Yes, it doesn't matter if AI is art or not, it's like asking if Photoshop is art. It will soon become an anachronism.
It is up to the artists of the future to decide how to use these tools. Art is very free in its expression. Let's break your mind with the newest weapon!🤯 for your unlimited imaginati∞n
