Hiroji Kotegawa

Hiroji Kotegawa is an NFT artist based in Tokyo. He creates his art using large datasets with extreme attention to detail.

You can find out more about his art:

  • On his website: Kotegawa.art
  • On Twitter: @hirojiKotegawa
  • On OpenSea: Hiroji_Kotegawa

Kotegawa's first project was called Cyber Atoms. He spent 3 years collecting massive volumes of data from crypto transactions, bloomberg terminal, bot activities and much more.

He then manipulated the data so that it could be imported into a 3D modeling software, manually adding over 5000 datasets.

He wanted to keep the data as authentic as possible and avoided overmanipulation. He therefore had to reject 90% of the data as it was interpreted as an error.

After a 3D model was generated, he zoomed into it as far as possible, rotated to find the best angles to capture for his collection.

although the data was transactional and therefore colourless, the interpretation through the modeling software caused minor colouration to emerge. It's unclear why or how this occurred.

He took advantage of this "error", imported his captured perpsectives to photoshop and enhanced the colours.

2nd best
2nd best

On chain art not only maintains provenance but also creates a unique impartial record of art history.

For example, in the early works by @JakNFT are a series of 3 figures that showcase a special dialogue between the trifecta of greats of our time - my favorite artists.

Two of these titled “2nd best - I tried” were minted with slight variations.

1 was purchased by @Vince_Van_Dough and the other of the pair was sent to a burn address by @JakNFT

Why was this burned? We can speculate - possibly because there is no 2nd best.

JAKNFT - there is no 2nd Best

Wheat Paste #1

In the early part of the 22nd century, a benevolent punk began promoting openness and self-sovereignty. He did this through stories relayed over a software called twitter, and the spread of his memetic art

The Memes Collection by 6529 is said to be focused on the fight for the open metaverse (decentralization, community, self-sovereignty) and spreading this message to many people, many wallets.

Others were inspired by Punk6529s message and banded together to create derivative works.

wheatPaste #1, as it was then referred to, is a depiction of this activist propaganda. Using Punk6529's genesis Memes.

6529's Memes were inspired by historic propaganda and political posters. In the 19th and 20th century century such imagery was physically reproduced and attached to structures using derivatives of then natural flora.

These methods were used by centralized government, corporations, or by activists driving change.

About Camera Person NFTs

Camera Person NFT brings members of the photography community together through graphic art that properly represents us in the NFT space.

The main goal is to collectively put out group photography projects that combine the fun of larger scale collectable pfp projects with the beauty in the art of photography.

About Camera Person Community Collection

Community Collection 1 allowed one submission per Camera Person NFT, and one submission per creator. If a creator owns more than one CP NFT, they can register another creator with their wallet.

Creators choose the submission, description, title, traits, and photographic metadata of their submission. Every single piece submitted will be included in the collection. No gatekeeping.

Creators keep 100% of the mint proceeds and 100% of secondary sale royalties.

The Collection is as a Collective. All mints are priced the same, and proceeds from the entire collection are distributed equally to all creators.

Moment_x_OSF

This weekend I had a moment where I legitimately thought I was going to die.

Could barely stand up, blurry vision and full-on shaking.

Sometimes when you get backed into a corner you have flashbacks of certain experiences in your life.

For me it's the near-death ones, and the ones where I thought all hope was lost and I somehow dug myself out of a hole.

Over the years I have consciously developed certain tools to help me pull myself out of these situations, and tbh it's also guided how I see the world through my lens, which I feel like is different to most.
