Uploading the Future : A Retrospective of Early Hic et Nunc
In March 2021, Hic et Nunc appeared on the radar of digital artists. In June 2021, however, the platform was hit by its first hacker attack.
Subsequently, a series of discussions on the ecosystem and imaginations of artworks had been emerging among platform users, collectors, and creators. Prior to this, the link between artworks and blockchain or NFTs seemed to only provide a form of identity for digital works; but gradually, works began to take on different forms and modes of presentation.

We would like to capture the timestamp before June 2021, restoring arts’ initial encounters with blockchain and encapsulating their original essence.
